In the distance, the trees take on a subtly sculptural presence, echoed again in the stronger vertical trunks to the right, where form and mark-making become more physical. These elements bring structure to the openness of the landscape, balancing the wide sky and sweeping hills.
Built up with acrylic and oil pastel, the surface has a tactile, textural quality, moving between smooth passages and more worked, sandy areas that catch the light differently throughout the day.
