There’s a sense of movement through this piece… a landscape that feels discovered rather than observed. The land curves and shifts in bands of colour, leading the eye across it like a path you didn’t plan to take, but followed anyway.
The trees gather loosely along that movement… scattered, playful, each one slightly different in colour and form. Some feel light and lifted, others more grounded, but together they create a rhythm that carries you through the scene.
The palette is bright and expressive… pinks, greens, ochres, and flashes of blue layered into one another with a sense of ease. Thicker, textured passages sit against softer areas, giving the surface a feeling of spontaneity and energy.
There’s something open about it… a sense of curiosity, of wandering without needing to arrive anywhere in particular. A piece that feels like it’s still unfolding, as if there’s always more just beyond the edge.
