There’s a brightness to this one that feels immediate… colour pushed forward, full and unapologetic. The pink sky holds everything in place, while the greens ground it, allowing the sunflowers to rise and take focus.
The flowers are built up through layered, expressive marks… each one slightly different, with thicker passages of paint giving them weight and presence. They feel alive in their variation, turning gently across the surface rather than sitting still.
The palette is bold but balanced… warm yellows against vibrant pink, softened by greens that anchor the composition. The surface is highly textural, with paint sitting proudly on the canvas, catching the light and adding depth.
