'where we love to roam' stretches across rolling hills, warm earth and bright passages of green, and speaks to the instinct to explore, to roam, to follow tracks simply because they are there.
Painted in acrylic and oil pastel, the surface is alive with texture. Trees are sculpted in thick, expressive layers, while the terrain shifts between smooth colour fields and richly worked passages that catch the light as you move around it. The sweeping pink ridge draws the eye across the canvas, creating rhythm and movement within the wide format.
